Peter Pan
Rider 10 and under never to have been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a jumping competition. This class is open to lead reins and will be split it sufficient entries. Jumps 1’ - 1’6”. (Timed in first round)

Horse & Hound
Rider 16 and under (lead reins welcome). Jumps 1’ - 1’6”. (Dogs must be over 1 year old and may not jump more than twice)

Novice
Rider 16 and under never to have won a jumping competition at 2’3” or over. Jumps 2’ - 2’3” Class 4

Top Score
Open to all (except lead reins) Jumps 2’0”-2’6” Will be split into 12 & under and 13-16 if sufficient entries.

Open
Open to any rider not entered in classes 1 or 3. Jumps 2’3” - 2’6”

(Judged on suitability of the pony for the rider and not necessarily on conformation or how ‘showy’ the pony looks)

Horse/pony 20 & over. Rosette for oldest veteran. (Lead Reins welcome).

Will be split into 12 & under and 13 & over if sufficient entries. (No Lead Reins)

Lead Rein Pony
Rider 8 & under. Pony never to have been placed 1st or 2nd in a Lead Rein Class. Trophy for the Best Rider. Rosettes to all competitors. Riders in this class are not eligible for Class 12. (CASUAL dress for Attendants please!)

Childs 1st Pony
Rider 12 & under. Pony never to have won a Childs 1st Pony Class. No cantering except in individual show. (No Lead Reins)

Childs Riding Horse/Pony
Rider 16 & under (no jump).


Riding Club Rider 16 & under.
Judged on suitability for Horse/Pony all Riding Club activities. A small jump
will be included

Family Mount. To be ridden by two riders16 and under with an age difference of at least 5 years. Older child may be required to do a small jump (no more than 1’6”). Lead reins welcome.

RING FOUR - Clear Round & Novelty Classes

GYMKHANA (For Non-Prince Philip Cup members)

There will be a selection from the following, but not necessarily in this order:

Bending Race - open to all
Carton Race - open to all
Flag Race - open to all
Egg & Spoon - open to all
Sack Race - open to all
Sweet Race - open to all
Trotting Race - Lead Reins only
Walk, Trot, Walk, Canter - open to all except Lead Reins
Consolation Race - open to anyone not having won a gymkhana rosette.

Finalé - parents fun race -open to any adult under the age of 99, but must be accompanied by a responsible child!!!

RULES
ENTRY IN ANY CLASS WILL BE DEEMED ACCEPTANCE OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:


1

The organisers cannot be responsible for the loss, damage or injury to any spectator, rider, horse or vehicle on the showground, howsoever caused;

2

The judges’ decision is final;

3

No galloping on the showground;

4

Hard hats with chin straps must be worn at all times whilst mounted and competitiors must be suitably dressed (jodphurs, shirt, tie, jacket/sweatshirt and correct footwear);

5

Any complaint must be made in writing to the Show Secretary within 30 minutes of the end of the class, together with a £10 deposit which will be forfeited if the complaint is not justified;

6

The organisers reserve the right to cancel or alter any classes and/or judges without prior notice;

7

Dogs must be kept on leads at all times;

8

The organisers have the right to eliminate any rider deemed guilty of bad horsemanship, including the misuse of whips and spurs;

9

No competitors are allowed to approach the timekeepers or judges during the show;

10

Entry fees cannot be refunded unless requested in writing before the date of the show, or on production of a Vet’s certificate.

10% reduction for individuals or members of the same family entering a total of 6 or more classes
(this only applies to postal entries in advance)

Gymkhana £2 per race or 6 tickets for £10 (pay on the day only)

Show jackets are NOT compulsory for showing classes, but riders must be smartly dressed in jodphurs, shirt, tie, correct footwear and hat with chinstrap. Jackets or sweatshirts are advisable for jumping classes to protect arms if an accident should occur.

Due to the early traffic chaos at the Amwell Roundabout Car Boot on a Sunday morning, if you intend to arrive at our Showground before 9.00 am, you may wish to use one of the following alternative routes: 

Southbound from Cambridge on the A10, take the Hertford A414 junction. 
On roundabout take second exit marked B1502 Gt. Amwell. **Take the first turning on the left (Hoe Lane).
Go to end of road. At T junction turn right.  Turn right at min-roundabout, past John Gilpin Pub and Garage on the right. 
WRC Showground entrance is 100 yards on the right.** 

Northbound from Cheshunt on the A10, go past the A414 Harlow exit and come off at the Hertford A414 junction.
On the roundabout take the first exit marked B1502 Gt. Amwell. Follow directions ** - ** above.

From Harlow on the A414 take the Stanstead Abbots exit.
Go through village and take the first turning on the right after the level crossing.
Follow this road (one fairly narrow bend!) to the T junction on small bridge. Turn right and you are on the A1170.
The WRC Showground entrance is 200 yards on the left.
