A steady day opened the 2008 competitive season for Ware Riding Club with riders turning up for the start of their classes throughout the day. Wonderful to see the regulars popping over fences and just as good to see a lot of new names and faces appearing as well.
From my vantage point on the hill, everyone appeared to have a very enjoyable day regardless of the sudden intermittant downpours. The course looked very smart and obvious thanks go out to all those who helped to prepare it - in particular, young Thomas Clark (picture to follow) who was invaluable with his small tractor and trailer, going around to collect score sheets, putting jump numbers in place and even towing the secretary's caravan into position.

Finally, as usual, thanks to all of the helpers on the day. We keep saying it, but we couldn't run our events without the people who turn up on the day simply to help out.
