2007 Spring Show

The Spring Show this year started with drizzle which quickly developed into intermittent downpours! This did not deter Competitors arriving at 7.30 am looking forward as usual to a day of fun. The Showing classes were so well subscribed that we soon found ourselves running behind schedule even though the ‘Oldest Veteran’ Class was empty!

The Show Jumping provided the usual thrills with packed classes. Unfortunately the Puissance was cancelled as there was only one entry and by mid afternoon the ground had become very slippery.

The Novelty classes were very popular and it was lovely the see the children stoically parading around the ring in the ‘Best Child Handler’ class just as the heavens opened and thunder rolled around the showground.

The weather conditions also gave problems to the Judges and the Show Secretary as writing out the results of the classes became extremely difficult! Due to the weather conditions, Le Click Photographers and Pegasus Tack Shop were unable to attend, but we look forward to seeing them both at our Children’s Show & Gymkhana on the 10th June. 

At the end of the day, much fun was had by all who attended and the Committee were thanked on the day “for a lovely show".
